Lucky me..I was the winner of the Art Challenge in the 3rd issue of Beads Etc. the title was ' A Midsummer Nights
Dream' The piece I entered was a vessel with a donkey head protruding from its side, to represent the crazy magic going on
in that forest..LOL..here he is..

Here you will find beads I have entered into challenges, be they online or in the magazines.
Its always exciting to enter the challenges as it gives the brain a good ol' twist.
The pics below are from a challenge in the new Aussie beading mag, Beads Etc. The first
two were published as I was a finalist in the first mags challenge 'My Australia'. Lampworkers were asked to submit
something that represented Australia to them. I picked the surfie as i love the beach and Ned because I find his lifes
history fasinating and the gecko because he represents Australias rugged outback and the Sydney Harbour bridge is a
huge representation of Australia to the whole world. A fun challenge for sure.
The second issue of Beads Etc. Had a jewellery challenge titled 'Oriental Inspiration'. I was lucky
enough to be a finalist and had my Oriental inspired necklace published, titled...
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR DRAGON.
